TransLink begins final consultations for Pattullo bridge replacement
After almost a decade of study, TransLink is nearing the finish line on the Pattullo Bridge replacement project. Now scheduled to open in 2023, the four-lane (expandable to six) bridge will resolve long standing safety and integrity issues with the existing crossing.
Thus far, the new design includes a Scott Road extension and re-alignment with King George, direct access to Highway 17 from the bridge, and improved and expanded safe cycling routes.
For this final phase of consultation, TransLink is asking Surrey residents about their preferred option for pedestrian and cyclist access over King George Boulevard, either via an overpass or underpass.
