City builds safe cycling route across Fraser Heights
The City and TransLink will be cost-sharing a $1.2 million investment in safe cycling infrastructure to build the Fraser Heights Greenway. With recent construction of pathways near the Port Mann Bridge and near the Tynehead Pedestrian Overpass, this new funding will connect the gap between the two and ultimately create a 5.5km safe cycling route across the neighbourhood. Upgrades will include new pathways, new crosswalks, traffic calming, signage, and road markings. Construction will occur in two phases, with the project expected for final completion next summer.
