Surrey charities encouraging local donations with new campaign

Three of Surrey’s largest charities have banded together to launch the “We Live Here, We Give Here” campaign, encouraging residents to direct their charity contributions to local organizations. Research has found that 20% of residents make tax-deductible donations to charities, with more than $100 million being sent to foundations every year. To help grapple with the growth in the City, the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Surrey Food Bank, and the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society are together encouraging residents to put more of that money into local initiatives like theirs, to help make more of an impact in our own community.
Civic Surrey is a proud supporter of the campaign. We encourage all readers to learn more about the initiative at their website and consider making tax-deductible donations to these and other Surrey based charities.
