Designed by Hughes Condon Marler Architects, this 98,000 sq. ft. facility is fully funded and expected to be complete by the summer of 2014. Located at the northeast corner of 24th Ave and 168 St, the pool will anchor the eastward expansion of Grandview Heights, whose population is anticipated to reach 15,000 in the coming years. The facility will include a 50 metre competition pool, a 10 metre high dive tower, a leisure pool with a waterslide, separate family and adult hot tubs, a sauna and steam room, as well as a weight room and fitness centre. The LEED Silver building is being planned to accommodate an expansion of an additional 25 metre lap pool on the east side, as well as connect to a potential district energy hub, the first for South Surrey.
