Pioneer overpass becomes set for Vancouver band music video
When your city starts showing up in music videos, you know you’re doing something right.
South Surrey’s new Pioneer overpass, a striking pedestrian bridge over Hwy 99 that lights up at night, was the set for the Young Liars’ first music video. The Vancouver band shot their single, Colours, on the overpass and released the video in mid-May. Check it out below!
This is certainly one example where going the extra step made what could’ve been a plain walkway into a creative and inspiring symbol for Surrey.

Protip: at night, run across this overpass rapidly shaking your head horizontally, while listening to the Nyan Cat song.

Pretty cool, good song as well!

Or…. it means that there are so few pedestrians using it that they can afford to rent it out!
