After premiering in Surrey over a week long stint in April, food trucks may soon become a more permanent fixture in the downtown. According to the City, public feedback to PARKit! was very positive. That temporary urban intervention is expected to return later this summer to gauge further interest while City staff engage in more research on the benefits of food trucks. The mobile food carts are being examined as a means of attracting more people to the street, increasing the vibrancy and safety of the downtown area.
