Evo, a four storey low rise building near Gateway, was completed in early 2009. Although its brother, Evo 2, directly adjacent, was being touted, the development stalled for a good year. The sales office as closed and the marketing billboards were taken down, leaving many to wonder whether the developer had left town due to the financial collapse. Whatever the reason for the mysterious disappearance, Evo 2 is now back – rechristened as The Brookland.
The Brookland will feature one and two bedroom condos and is scheduled to launch sales again this summer. Once this development is complete, much of the urban edge of the Gateway district along King George will be complete.
