The 2010 Operating and Capital Financial Plans have been out in the wild for a bit now. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s included:
- 6 new RCMP members and 8 new firefighters
- A new RCMP Community Safety Office for the City Centre
- Borrowing $90 million from the Municipal Finance Authority for the Civic Centre project
- 2 new artificial turf fields: Hjorth Road and Newton Athletic
- Covered Youth Park at Tom Binnie, across from the Chuck Bailey Rec Centre
- Money for detailed design of the Newton Athletic Master Plan and a fitness area renovation in the former RCMP space at the Fraser Heights Rec Centre
