Sorry it took so long to post – the City takes eons to respond to emails sometimes. What seems to have been formerly referred to as the Fire Hall Arts Centre has been renamed the Newton Cultural Centre.
The former Newton Fire Hall at 72 Ave and Hall Road (just off King George) is currently undergoing a refurbishment to be repurposed as a secondary Arts Centre. The space will house new offices for the Arts Council of Surrey and provide new exhibition, rehearsal and programming space to complement existing performance capacity at the Surrey Arts Centre. The adaptive reuse will cost $1.5 million. It is expected to be ready for usage in the spring.
