Kwomais Park opening next year

In a recent Corporate Report, it was released that Kwomais Park in South Surrey will open to the public in January 2010.

Kwomais Point Park is 16.25 acres of designated parkland located at the southwest tip of the Semiahmoo Peninsula.  The City acquired the park in 2007 and its design and concept plans for the future are based on extensive community input and consultation.

The City plans to retain several of the buildings on site. These buildings are currently being refurbished, along with the park, and will be used for community recreational services by Parks and Rec.
