According to reports, the Holland Pointe development at King George and 98A Ave is currently on hold, but simply waiting for the markets to pick up before beginning construction. As of October 20th, it was in the Servicing Agreement Stage with the City.
Holland Pointe was to contain three high rise towers with about 1100 units. The first tower was to be 29 storeys.
The scope and definition of this project has changed substantially from what it was before. Holland Pointe now includes two towers, and the signature high rise has become its own project, called Park Place (how New Yorkish of it). Here’s the description from Partick Cotter Architects, the firm designing the towers.
Holland Pointe
The development occupies a 4 acre site on King George Highway at 98A Avenue, Surrey B.C. adjacent to Holland Park and the King George sky train station in the city centre. The proposed gross building area is approximately 775,000 square feet, multi-family residential in a combination of 2 towers and podium level retail, commercial, office, and a public art gallery.

Park Place
This striking signature tower of 51 storeys occupies a prominent park site within the city centre of Surrey. It is part of a comprehensive redevelopment of the city centre, and when completed will be the tallest building in Surrey. The building features a sky garden at level 36 as well as indoor amenities for the residents.

Here’s some more views of all three towers

51 storeys is pretty tall! The Shangri-La, the tallest tower in Vancouver, is 61 storeys.

No doubt, North Surrey is the best place to invest right now.
Has there been any movement on this project? I really hope it goes through.
