The City will begin installing new signage at major gateways to Surrey shortly. The new signage will feature the City’s new “future lives here” logo, replacing the old wooden beaver gateways.

The new singage will be made from metal and include a separate flat panel at the bottom, which will initially indicate Surrey’s Olympic Venue City status. I personally find them to look even better than Vancouver’s newest signs.

The new signs will initially go up in four gateways by December 31st, with two more to be installed by spring 2009. Those four initial gateways will be at:
- King George from Patullo Bridge [Fraser River]
- Hwy 10 and Scott Road [North Delta]
- Fraser Hwy and 194 St [Langley]
- 176 St and 2 Ave [USA Border]
